Our Story

The Time We Should Have Had

Every ARTOS watch carries meaning. Here is where ours began.

ARTOS was born from love, loss, and the need to keep someone close.

As a watch enthusiast, I wanted to create something that could be worn every day - not as a loud statement, but as a quiet reminder of a child we lost, who we lovingly called Bear.

A watch marks time. For us, ARTOS also represents the time we should have had.

The name ARTOS comes from the Celtic word for bear. In ancient cultures, the bear represented strength, protection, courage, and guardianship - qualities we wanted this watch to embody.

The separated five-claw emblem on the crown and dial was designed to honour Bear while remaining refined, wearable, and personal. It's there if you look for it, but it doesn't demand attention. Just like the best memories - present, but gentle.

“Though created from personal loss, ARTOS is designed for everyone who carries someone with them.”

Whether you wear it for a parent, a partner, a child, a friend - or simply because you want a beautifully crafted timepiece with genuine meaning behind it - there is a place for ARTOS on your wrist.

We donate 10% of profits to SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, because we believe that meaning should extend beyond the watch itself.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. And if ARTOS resonates with you, we hope it becomes a meaningful part of your story too.
